Making time for things that matters

This article reminds me of some sayings that “There is no such things as no time, but it depends on whether the thing is mattered to you”. My sensei sometimes asked in the class how we see “working from home”. I said it’s great since we have flexibility to do some work at home, and some of my classmates agree with this too. But she said, she doesn’t like it. It means there is no separation between work and non-work […]

On settling down at new place

This week is my second weekend in Warsaw. I’m here for a short term assignment. It’s really bring back the memory lane of studying overseas for the first time. I’ll spare you from the boring story on it. Overall it’s been a good week. Weather has been somewhat accommodating, although it gave me a shock in the first week. One thing I miss is, my sons. My two furry sons at home. My mom takes care of them, so I’m […]

Packing life in a suitcase (or two)

This week is my first week (or half) to be stationed in Warsaw for work until December. It’s been awhile since I completed my study in Melbourne I’m 2018, that I need to pack my life in a big suitcase. TBH, I had hard times to pick what’s the essentials. Since having my own place, I’m used to having duplicate items at home and office to save trouble in remembering that I have to bring this or that. It’s gonna […]

Do one thing you can do

This week lesson is no matter how good your cause is, but if you’re bashing or bitching about other people actions, I find it less meaningful. There is always a reason behind every action, some might try very hard on justifying it, but whatever it is, good or bad. I find it’s toxic to see it. But some take it like a drama. (Maybe I should change my mindset) I did unfriend few people cos they like to share sad […]

Which team are you at?

“I’m team Canon”, “I’m team Nikon” or “I’m team android”, “I’m team iOS” and so on. This is quite common bickering back then among me and my friends. To the extent we call this “our religion”, depending on the community, ie, photography, mobile phone, etc. Come to think of it now, I feel silly yet I had good times debating those with my friends. But, out there this can be quite nasty. Some keyboard warriors just bashed others and look […]

You do you

It doesn’t sound proper sentence in English to me at first. But apparently it’s a valid term. This term came to my mind as recent events in my life, that when you have too many voices around you, it just confuses you. I decided to take a step back, try to get some distance hoping that I’ll be able to see it from different perspective. Or sometimes try to cool down first when I was too excited or emotional. There […]

What is it like on the other side

Last time I could only wonder what is it like on the other side? Or if I’m so and so who always busy traveling here and there, that must be nice. Or if I’m doing a, b, c then it looks cool. My friend told me, K.. the grass always looks greener on the other side. I didn’t really think of it back then, because I enjoy my daydreaming, imagining I’m somebody. You may heard of you are what you’re […]

Thanking life lessons

Ajahn Brahm mentioned in one of his talk that when you experience some hardships or pain or not pleasant experience, you should thank them and call them teacher. For example when mosquito kept buzzing near you, biting and sucking your blood, it teaches you patience and compassion. Recent experience that I have was trying to help out on some situation. I was asking around for help because of I don’t have capacity to perform and commit 100% to it due […]
