Repetition can be boring. Doing the same thing over and over again. Or can be scary too when you need to deal with some unpleasant experience again and again over short period of time. For example, cockroaches in your house keep showing up. =_=! (Ugh..) But one thing I realize too is depending on the gap between one and another, it can be a good thing. Because it’s like a training, like it or not, just get used to it. […]

Are you working on your goals or your cause?
Every new year, I plan my yearly goals, like what are the activities I’d like to do, what are the new things I’d like to learn and so on. Some are completed and became my new favorite past time. But some just became bucket list activities, been there done that, ticked and hardly do it again because of new activities or just pushed down naturally. There was a time when I was still trying my bestest to achieve it and […]
Thoughts on automation and AI
Last weekend I watched an old news program (or recording) about robot hosting a national event, co-hosting with human MCs. The interviewer asked the MC if he would feel threatened, if robots will replace his job in near future. He said, he still thinks robots are still lack of human emotions. Machine starts to replace human work like ordering machine. Like in fast food chain like MacDonald’s or even bubble tea Koi. So humans can focus on higher quality tasks. […]
Global citizen
I have two very interesting encounter this week from my recent travels On my way back to Singapore from Haneda airport. I met a Japanese grandma who travels with her grandchild. She can converse in Japanese but doesn’t seem to be able to read Japanese anymore, and she has difficulties to read and fill in the immigration form. She asked me in Japanese how to fill in the form. She’s Bolivian. Another one is during my Grab hitch ride to […]
Shed the tears, and stand up
I’m not sure if I had shared this before or not, but I saw this in my note book again recently. My sensei said, there is a life lesson related to a kanji word 泣く (read: naku) meaning to cry. That when you remove the tears, you’ll get 立つ (read: tatsu) meaning to stand. So I think sometimes you just need to stop crying and stand, hey
A lesson from 7 years ago
Every morning Facebook pushed a notification about what happened few years ago – aka Memories. And I usually will scroll all the way down, to find the oldest memory of that day. Today is one of the memorable one. A lesson from a friend If you like public attention and to be under the limelight, then leadership is not your thing. You should consider to become celebrity instead. A leader leads and does many things behind the scene, so that […]
The art of taking a break
My friend often told me that I tend to arrange things back to back. And as a result, quite often I was rushing from one place. I feel accomplished when I finished all my errands. And I think it’s somehow addictive to me. Until recently, I easily fell sick due to pack activities. Or rather, my mind was quite tense maintaining all the details for the errands. And when you fell sick, your physical strength drops so, it will make […]
Live a little more
PHILIP: If I were mixed up with you I’d be the talk of the town Disgraced and disowned Another one of the clowns BARNUM: But you would finally live a little Finally laugh a little Just let me give you the freedom to dream and it’ll wake you up It was part of the lyrics from a song titled Other Side by Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron. First movie in 2018 and it, was, amazing! I was having goosebumps when […]
