Going slow to go fast

This week inspiration is from my boss at work. In an offsite meeting 2D1N, he mentioned that sometimes you won’t go anywhere if you keep moving fast. But, if you wait patiently, you might be able to go way faster. This is related to your “North Star”. If you know yours, then it’s fine. Otherwise, you might ended up going fast to the wrong direction. Do you have similar experience?

Go for it!

What are the things that scare me? *MANY* Doing exams, going for races, trying a new role. I get butterfly in my stomach, I have cold sweat, and some other symptoms. But, every time I asked myself, will I regret it if I don’t go for it? Most of the times, there is a little voice inside saying, yes. So, it is scary. But most of the times it turns out to be alright. Our mind tends to multiply it. […]

You should do a marathon once in your life

I mentioned many times in my previous blog post that I’m not a runner, I don’t have stamina nor speed. But there is something about running which somehow always pulls me back to do it. The euphoria after running and the less preparation needed sport are perhaps the main reasons. I ticked this out of my bucket list last year. I don’t care much about the time, as long as I cross the finish line, and didn’t get any injury. […]

Inspiration from Chihayafuru

In order to give it all on the things you want to do, you also must give it all on the things you don’t want to do. Recently I’m hooked to this manga about Karuta (カルタ). I’m surprised that this is considered as sport and people are taking it seriously. You can find more history about Karuta from wiki. Although I’m learning Japanese, I know nothing about classic Japanese poem. This manga explain it in a way that making it […]

Simple things done awesomely made my day

This week I was having few days off because of work transition. I thought it’s gonna be a relaxing week for me. However, voila.. seems like there are things to do. From settling some house repairs, medical check up until going to Batam for banking related stuffs. I guess I kind of understand when my mom is somehow always so busy. There is no way to finish the work. For example, although you did your laundry, there is still one […]

Laugh it out

When did the last time you hear a cold jokes and laughing out loud? Maybe I’m too used to with my sensei’s cold joke as I’ve been following her class for more than 4 years, but I think that to have ability to see things in slightly less serious way is necessary. She always has very interesting angle to see things which she heard from News or the Internet. Sometimes it’s really a refreshing angle but there are times it’s […]

Playing would you rather with myself

Passing half way mark to 21km this morning, I was playing a game with myself, “would you rather…”. Because I feel that I have not enough prep or whatsoever so I literally dragging my feet one step at a time. So, since I have lots of time, at one point, I played it with myself. Basically it’s comparing A and B, if I chose A then I need to pick a new B, and vice versa. One of them was […]

Mosquito teacher

In one of Ajahn Brahm past talk, he mentioned that when mosquito is buzzing around you, disturbing your sleep and so on, they are doing a favour to teach us something. You can read the talk here. In which reminds me of one of my fur boys. I still keep in touch with the shelter owner to update her about the situations I’m facing and she said he taught me a lot. I second that statement. I never have a […]
