Will you go all out?

Sometimes we know that we like something, but we don’t dare to express that we like it. Sometimes we don’t want to do it in front of other people. We are cautious when people are looking at us. Sometimes we protect ourselves at all cost, because we don’t want to be faulted, seen inexperienced or not perfect. But it’s usually just our ego. And there are much more than our ego. This is what I learned this week from my friends. […]

Going slow to go fast

This week inspiration is from my boss at work. In an offsite meeting 2D1N, he mentioned that sometimes you won’t go anywhere if you keep moving fast. But, if you wait patiently, you might be able to go way faster. This is related to your “North Star”. If you know yours, then it’s fine. Otherwise, you might ended up going fast to the wrong direction. Do you have similar experience?

Go for it!

What are the things that scare me? *MANY* Doing exams, going for races, trying a new role. I get butterfly in my stomach, I have cold sweat, and some other symptoms. But, every time I asked myself, will I regret it if I don’t go for it? Most of the times, there is a little voice inside saying, yes. So, it is scary. But most of the times it turns out to be alright. Our mind tends to multiply it. […]

You should do a marathon once in your life

I mentioned many times in my previous blog post that I’m not a runner, I don’t have stamina nor speed. But there is something about running which somehow always pulls me back to do it. The euphoria after running and the less preparation needed sport are perhaps the main reasons. I ticked this out of my bucket list last year. I don’t care much about the time, as long as I cross the finish line, and didn’t get any injury. […]

Inspiration from Chihayafuru

In order to give it all on the things you want to do, you also must give it all on the things you don’t want to do. Recently I’m hooked to this manga about Karuta (カルタ). I’m surprised that this is considered as sport and people are taking it seriously. You can find more history about Karuta from wiki. Although I’m learning Japanese, I know nothing about classic Japanese poem. This manga explain it in a way that making it […]

The art of procrastinating

I hate to see things not done. Whether it’s doing a task or meeting friends. I will .. do .. my .. best-est to do it within certain time frame, let’s say within that same day. And you guess it right, that I felt drain at the end of the day. But I felt accomplished. It perhaps an influence from work, that when something came, you need to reply or react swiftly. I learned that most of the times, we […]

Simple things done awesomely made my day

This week I was having few days off because of work transition. I thought it’s gonna be a relaxing week for me. However, voila.. seems like there are things to do. From settling some house repairs, medical check up until going to Batam for banking related stuffs. I guess I kind of understand when my mom is somehow always so busy. There is no way to finish the work. For example, although you did your laundry, there is still one […]

What if? The nightmare that my brain thought of

Today I had two appointments at home, to do some air con maintenance and to get kitchen window repair. The original schedule was the kitchen window repair will start at 9am then the air con service will start at 10am. Suddenly it came to my mind, how to handle my two boys when the window is gone and when the aircon is on cleaning. Panic! I texted my friend regretted that I should have asked help to manage the boys. […]
