Mid year checkpoint

Here we go again. Kartika is being lazy again. Perhaps it’s good idea to reinstate weekly mission and monthly mission like 2 years ago. Let’s see.. Anyway, let’s started to have reflection started from the most recent ones. In July.

Highlight of July – Covid.
Finally caught it. Not sure get it from whom or where. It’s just hit when you least expect it. Good thing is, I’m vaccinated compared to 2 years ago. Protocols around it also changes from quarantine in hospital/community service to home. So it’s a huge relief. Otherwise will worry sick(er) about the cats.

Highlight of June – foster.
It was a little stressful for Totoro and us because we are taking over the common room back. It’s fostering for Fio/Dayne. What’s the name? I decided to name her Kiki. From Studio Ghibli. She’s such a sweet sweet kid. I wonder what her past life like.

Highlight of May – parents.
They are visiting from mid May to early June. It was disaster-ish. But it’s okay, that’s how we interact. :p Also, 2 weeks before this happened, I started to condition them by sleeping in common room. Which I think it’s kinda surprising that 5 of us are sleeping together in the room. Including Totoro.

Highlight of April – shopping for the kids.
For some reasons, I can’t remember much what happened in April. But Google Photos showed few unboxing videos ha!

Highlight of March – big 4.
Here we are, at new life milestone. Actually don’t feel much difference except more back pain or shoulder ache (ha!)

Highlight of February – Sungei Buloh.
Irene and I went to Sungei Buloh guided tour. To use up our SG Discovery Voucher.

Highlight of January – Totoro.
After fostering him since November, few AC sessions, few NHV Matricalm bottles and hours of rehabilitation, I decided to go ahead to adopt Totoro. Knowing that Jack and the rest are somewhat okay with him. I don’t need it to be chummy from the beginning. Live like housemate will do. That’s how JackAndMeowth started.
