I believe it also applies to importance of something. If everything is important, there is nothing important. Then the next question is, how do we prioritize? Some of the common prioritization which probably you had heard of are FIFO (First-In-First-Out), LIFO (Last-In-First-Out), or which task/project which will make your resume looks better (there is such thing), or by due date, or by complexity and many more.
Almost the last week of the year, looking back, I was wondering where did my 2019 go? Everything seems just flashed so fast. No it’s not true. There are times when I feel that I’m so worn out and defeated, but when you’re in project mode, and there is timeline to the project, our day to day live is driven by number of weeks of the project and multiply that with the number of projects.
Back to the urgent and important topic.
I feel that I can’t do how I want to do for my important things in 2019, but I still managed to do it. Not to the best I want, but I can do some. Initially I feel sad about it, but my friend said it’s okay, there will be time for it. Having it in my mind is a good start for now. It might be that other things are more important, so the opportunity to do it will come later when the time is right.
I guess, it’s not bad after all. At least I managed to do something or get a taste of doing it. Something is better than nothing. Hopefully I will be able to do it more in future.
How about your 2019?
