Which role do you play in MMORPG?

tanking comes from mmorpgs, where you would have a healer in your party and a person with high defense. (i.e. meat sack-o-shield warriors). the warrior rush an opponent and the monk would do their best to keep the warrior alive with healing and stat bonuses. then, the other members could a) fight and hit hard b) run away like scared little girls so, in essence, it is a big distraction to open opportunites for attack or to run away, like […]

Can do? Cannot do?

A friend shared an article about another friend who managed to accomplish something awesome! Because I haven’t be able to do it. And there is a quote in the blog, “You’re never too old to set a new goal or dream a new dream” – CS Lewis I haven’t completed my full marathon yet, and I aim for one. But somehow I feel it’s a very high mountain to climb.

A LIVE

可能性がゼロでないなら、追求しなきゃ。 As long as the possibility is not zero, we should pursue it. Was said by a female doctor to the main lead. I’ll not say anymore to avoid any spoilers. If you have time, you should watch this Japanese drama A LIVE. It’s still airing, although it’s reaching out it’s climax.

Inspiration from Bittersweet (JP drama)

I watched にがくてあまい (Bittersweet) while flying back from Shanghai to Singapore. The main male character is a good cook while the female character is a typical office worker who care more about her work than anything else.  They started with funny encounters and some fights, but they care about each other.  One of the memorable lines was Sometimes you just need to let yourself simmer a little longer to bring out the best of you. Like a stew.  If you […]

When the game is over

Longing of playing my childhood game in their native console is one of the main reasons I went crazy with it. But I don’t play it often these days. Instead, I play Fire Emblem in my iPhone. I did complete the Pokémon League once and there are still other mini missions which I haven’t completed, like to capture the daily Pokémon, Zygarde cells, Ultra […]

Not good enough

Me and procrastination seems always a good friend. I want to post something and procrastinator-me will say, do you have time to write a good blog? You usually have little patience to compose a post with good flow, have you thought of the title, and many other questions. Yes, the procrastinator-me sounds like me at work when dealing with projects. I have a series of check list which I usually ask my colleagues to ensure the project can be done […]

Experience grinding

If you’re a gamer, you’ll get this instantly when people say, man, too much grinding is needed. In our younger days, my brother and I often play the same game but I like to see what’s next in the storyline and didn’t spend much time to train myself, as a result the boss easily beaten me up. I look at my brother playing his character and he had lots of patience than me, trained his character well, strategize the team, […]
