[J-drama]: Kekkon Dekinai Otoko

It’s been a while since I watched J-Drama so I didn’t really have expectation about it.

This Japanese dorama is my first dorama within last 5 years which I got it from my friend in Australia.
Literally, “Kekkon Dekinai Otoko” means “A man who can’t get married”, which at first, I thought it was very serious dorama type, and related with something terrible in the past that’s why he couldn’t married.

But, I was wrong.

The drama is so funny and I couldn’t stop watch it episode by episode.

In short, the story is mainly about a mature, eccentric, perfectionist architect (Abe Hiroshi) who runs a small company which has only one young assistant. He used to live alone and enjoys his small world. Until, he got terrible stomach pain and he has to ask help from his neighbor. Later, more people come into his life, some of them start to like him despite his ‘unique’ character.

What I like from this dorama, besides the unique main character, is the portrayal of ordinary day to day life for example the conflict. His character is accumulation from people characters that sometimes people around us have.

You should try to watch it! It’s simple and entertaining yet quite meaningful to me.

It won’t take long, only 12 episodes.
