When the game is over

I mentioned in early of this year post that I played Pokémon intensively after it was launched in November. Longing of playing my childhood game in their native console is one of the main reasons I went crazy with it. But I don’t play it often these days. Instead, I play Fire Emblem in my iPhone. I did complete the Pokémon League once and there are still other mini missions which I haven’t completed, like to capture the daily Pokémon, Zygarde cells, Ultra […]

Not good enough

Me and procrastination seems always a good friend. I want to post something and procrastinator-me will say, do you have time to write a good blog? You usually have little patience to compose a post with good flow, have you thought of the title, and many other questions. Yes, the procrastinator-me sounds like me at work when dealing with projects. I have a series of check list which I usually ask my colleagues to ensure the project can be done […]

Experience grinding

If you’re a gamer, you’ll get this instantly when people say, man, too much grinding is needed. In our younger days, my brother and I often play the same game but I like to see what’s next in the storyline and didn’t spend much time to train myself, as a result the boss easily beaten me up. I look at my brother playing his character and he had lots of patience than me, trained his character well, strategize the team, […]

Puzzle and puzzled

Last year I bought One Piece puzzle in Anime Festival Asia. It’s been awhile since I did my puzzle, it caught me surprise because it’s 1.5x larger than my previous one.  I plan to build the edge that night and call it for a day, but instead I work on the characters. They are easier to recognize since they have more distinct features.  And it came to my mind that, it’s okay to work not in order. It’s your work […]

pokémon and me

I just finished watching Pokémon XY&Z series which I started last week of November. I just feel I need to have some catch up with the Pokémons since I’m playing Sun & Moon now. The first series I watched was Kanto region and they have 7 regions now: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos and Alola. (man, I have to admit I feel old now) The Sun & Moon was released 18 November and I bought it a week later after playing […]

Lessons from Pokémon XY&Z

俺だって迷うことぐらいあるさ… でもさ、迷ってる時間があるなら、まず動いてみる。それで失敗したって何か残る、無駄なことなんて何もないさ さとし EP20 I feel unsure sometimes too. But you see, if you have time to feel unsure, you should just try to make a move. If that ends in a failure, you’ll still be left with something. There is nothing you did that would be pointless. Ash EP20

When having one plan is not enough

How do you usually plan something? Usually I build one plan and if it’s not working then move on to next plan. But recently I find that 3 out of 5 plan didn’t work out and I need to use next plan. I find this quite “tiring”. Being perfectionist myself, I like to plan thoroughly. So I spend quite sometime in building one plan. When the success rate is not in my favour these days, I get discouraged of planning. […]

Lessons from Yokai Watch Wib Wob

I know what may come to your mind. “Seriously? Why you’re playing a kid game?” Almost everyone I know is into Pokemon Go these days, and so do I. I was looking for some distractions from my Pokemon Go because I was so addicted to it and to the point which I became obsessed with it. One day I was discussing next 2020 Olympic in Japan with a friend after watching the the closing ceremony clip. Mr. Abe was in the movie […]
