This post is the late post from 2018 which I should have written it last week, but I have backlog of post.
I was contemplating what should I write as last post of the year. I think I did a summary for the entire year last time based on my sport activities. But in 2018, I wasn’t doing as much as 2017. I had a mission to join a sprint distance triathlon and that’s the ultimate sport for me.
When Strava did the 2018 summary, the distance was not that long and my km had a sudden drop after mid year, because I have no more event to join. In addition, I changed company almost at the end of Q2 and the work was crazily demanding which made me unable to exercise regularly.
The situation was vexing me because I felt stress at work but yet I have no energy to exercise it out. Gradually it was getting better. So I’m grateful for that.
And I think one of the highlights is the 2 fur boys I adopted from shelter in Mar 2018. They have been making my life much more colorful since joining me. Because of them, I learned much more about cat wellbeing, and importantly, to be confident in making decision.
What’s the relation between having cats with that, probably you wonder. Well, when we are in panic, they can sense it. So I need to be composed and confident about doing certain things. For example when need to bring them to vet. I still get nervous about it, but it’s getting better.
There are certain things which I wasn’t able to accomplish, like taking JLPT or publishing an app (or sticker) to App Store. But it’s my fault not to plan it carefully.
So the key takeaway from 2018 to me is, what’s my big stones and I should cast it and commit to it. Build other things around it.
Once again, thank you 2018 and I hope 2019 will be kind to me.
