I mentioned that I was following Japanese series 星の金貨 (Hoshi no Kinka) in few post earlier right? I finished both, season 1 and 2 of that drama. Then I found out that they have the SP version. I searched high and low yet I couldn’t find it.
Last Saturday, my language school was having flea market. All the money gathered will be donated to a society as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. And, I saw the 星の金貨 VCD (both seasons) with Chinese subtitle, $1 for the box set (what a bargain, right?). Without hesitation, I grabbed them and hoping to be able to find the SP episodes inside.
I was so happy that I found a “treasure” so I posted it in my Instagram and someone from HK commented that he also watched them and the SP. (Whoa! My heart was jumping.) That person was very kind to offer a help so I can watch the SP episode. (嬉しい!)
Then, I suddenly remember a quote by Paulo Coelho in his book, The Alchemist.
When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
I think sometimes you just need to be patient and not give it up, when you want something and it seems so hard to get.
Side note: After reaching home and checking them, I found out that the SP wasn’t included in the box set. But, with that kind soul form HK help I can watch the SP. Even though the subtitle is in Chinese, I think I can get the meaning when I listen to the drama now. Although there are still some that I can’t get it, but I’m able to get the overall meaning. Isn’t it some improvement? Remember, you were like that too when you started to watch English show without subs, weren’t you?
