Learn something, learn more

There is a saying, never too old to learn anything, and I think, it sinks well in my personality. Even though I’m not in school or actively studying as full time student anymore, I’m still learning new things every now and then. It leads from my curiosity on certain things. I will spend time to research on it, discuss it with friends, admire it, then I usually ask myself “Shall I take it more seriously? Like by taking lessons?” And […]

Month of achievements

April is ending or you can say that let’s welcome May instead. Yup, it’s been a busy month for me. However, I need to celebrate 2 big accomplishments. One, I completed 2 full day guitar course. I never, officially, learn how to play musical instruments before. Despite I’m so skeptical that I’ll be able to play just by attending 2-days course, I decided to enroll anyway. My class was on 7 and 14. I think I mentioned it briefly how the teacher […]

We are who we are

Lacus to Kira: you are kind because you are, not because you are a coordinator. (Gundam Seed) There are situations when we did good things, we were scolded by others. Saying that we should not be that kind. (for whatever reason, maybe to bad people?) However deep in our heart, we feel that’s the right thing to do. And if we didn’t do it, we will feel even worse. I know it’s hard to describe the situation or rather abstract. But […]

Why we wanted to become others?

Wolf: “Asemu, do you want to be x-rounder that bad?” Asemu: “yes, otherwise I can’t surpass my dad.” Don’t you ever jealous with someone who has special talent, which you don’t have? Usually it happens when we need to go through a long journey to get what we want while the other party doesn’t really do much like us. Wolf: “Well, you don’t need to Asemu. Just be yourself and be the best with whatever you have.” Sometimes we forget […]

Growing a relationship

I want to be the person who when I look back, I can tell myself “oh yeah, I did that in the past.” There was an issue has been bugging me for months recently. It will be easier if I can say it out loud to the person I’m having the issue with when it’s not as complicated as it is. However, as an adult, I think it’s not wise either to just saying “I don’t like this from you”. […]

Kids perspective vs ours

I had Gunbro in my iPhone game folder. Since it’s been sometime I haven’t played it, I wanted to continue my progress. But I was surprised that my money was halved of it used to be, my grenades was zeroed, but I noticed that my level is increased. Well, since I’m partnering with a friend, it’s quite normal to earn experience from her playing too. Oh well, I realize that not only that, I also have new gun that I […]

Learning guitar

Start doing something, or else be content with your status quo I just recently started my guitar class. And as a guitar novice, I have to go through all the hardships of learning guitar, i.e. pain at my finger tips, inflexibility of my wrists, stress to get the right tempo, etc. I’m not musical genius nor have musical experience before. What drives me to learn guitar is, I want to relax myself when I’m stress by playing guitar. (or so […]

Playing in RPG called life

I wrote several times about playing RPG in the past, because I feel that there are similar traits between those two: You have attributes, i.e. intelligence, agility, strength, etc. You have missions to accomplish. Each of the mission you solved will contribute to your experience. When you reach certain level of experience, your level will be up. The higher your level, the harder for you to accumulate experience. Being in a group will help you to grow more, with guidance […]
