Managing other’s expectation is hard, but don’t you think that managing our own expectation is harder? I found that it’s harder to manage my own expectation. One of my benchmark is I have to do more or give more than what is set for other people. For example, if someone can swim for 10 laps, I will aim 12 laps; if someone can deliver the work within 3 days, I have to be able to deliver it for 2 days. […]

Some wild thoughts
– sometimes I miss one thing from my childhood, to be able to fight with your friend then make up as if we didn’t fight at all. – its easier to work when people trust you, but you need to prove it. That means both parties need to understand and compromise each other strength and weakness. However if you think you did your best and you still don’t get what you want. Just see it as, they are not for […]
Welcoming a new century
*it should be decade (thanks to Adi) This morning, I was flipboard-ing and stumble into a very interesting article from smashing magazine. The title was “Your ego is a bad designer“, and even though it’s about web design the author message is actually applicable into broader context. After reading it, somehow it stuck for a while inside my head. I had a thought about this before, and to be honest, I think I still have difficulties in keeping it away. So, […]
To adapt
One of the speakers in a summit I attended today mention: Technology has changed how people interact with each other. In the past, people will exchange contact after met each other when they feel comfortable with each other. But nowadays, people meet online first, when they comfortable they will meet in real world. Anyway, I can talk about it later on separate post. You may heard a saying that if you want anything in your life, you need to let the “universe” know about it. Don’t keep it to yourself, because it will be likely to happen if you let it out. So, […]
On making decision
If you have something keep bugging you for quite sometime, and what makes you hesitating for doing it is not because money or time, then you should ask yourself why. Some of the common reason are: Scared, because you’re doing it alone Not confident, because you don’t want to make yourself look bad Worried, what others think about it Or at least, those reasons used to be with me. Anyway, I have a girl friend who likes to ask me […]
Getting my feet back to..
I know that recently I’ve been not blogging regularly. There is a slightly guilty feeling inside for not sharing what I’ve been learning so far (not for showing off). The reason I was absent of blogging is mainly I lost my balance. There were a lot of things happened around me, and those were happened too fast than I could handle. I decided to take it slowly, trying to put things into its places one by one. There were some […]
