Imperfection

I sent my MacBook for a repair recently. The SuperDrive has been spoilt since a year ago, but I hesitate to repair it. Cost wise. Although I have external DVD-ROM, but there is always a time when you need it ready, especially when you’re travelling and you want to use it but you don’t bring the external one.

It costs me a bomb, but I bare myself with it. I’m so happy when the service center called me to collect my MacBook. However, an unpleasant surprise happened. I notice that the eject button is not at the same level as the other keys.  I refused it and ask them to correct it. To make the story short and save the unpleasant comments, I can’t have my MacBook keyboard back.

I remembered a story about 2 bad bricks on a wall from my favorite monk. He was disappointed about the 2 bricks placed badly on that wall. However, there are others good brick too. He was too focused on his mistakes until he didn’t realise that the wall is a nice wall.

So, I told myself, why am I focusing too much on the unlevelled key. Isn’t the key working now? Back then I was fuming mad to the service center for their bad service. After I re-think about it, never mind. Each dent that we have is a proof that we’re doing something.

It makes me feel better now. Do you have similar situation? How do you deal with it?
