Procrastination

I have 2 weeks due of post which I haven’t done. If I finished this one, then I’m one behind. It’s a target I set to myself that I should do it weekly as reflection and appreciation of things happened to me that week. It’s a good memory as well when you’re flipping back the old books. Ah, this was happened during this time. It’s like Facebook Memory who give you pops up, what happened that day.

Sometimes I simply busy, but there are times I was so busy till I was literally moving from one task to another. Do do do.. I don’t have time to sit down and be still. (partially because of my cats too)

I’m also obsessed with clearing the notification bubble from my phone.

Distraction is always around us. But it’s a matter of how we focus and prioritize what’s important for us. I don’t always do it successfully. But I think I’m getting better at it.

Similarly what happened to my work. Sometimes when things are getting busier, I forgot to drink, to take a walk, or be human. When there is a task which I’m not sure about it, I stare at it, spend lots of times thinking, or worse, do something halfway and left it behind. In the end, it’s forever stuck in my to-do-list and I felt worse because of procrastinating on it. You know what, most of the times, it just requires me to make a call to another person or discuss it for 10-15 mins with others. And I found out that the task is not as daunting as I thought.

So, mission from this week onwards, if the tasks are requiring me to reply later, I shouldn’t start looking at it. But if I decided to work on it, I should finish it.

How about you? Do you have tips for this?
