The day when I had too much surprises

From draft post many months ago..

That plan is perfect, but..

Do you like to make a plan? Or do you prefer to have someone plan for you? Not about your life, it’s about what happened in daily life, like going on a trip, throwing a party, or organizing event?

Plan

The first time I entered my university life, I was fascinated with the seniors who arrange great orientation for us. (Though for some of us, it’s more like a “torture” rather than welcome party) Anyway, the reason I was fascinated because I have great experience as participant, we had games, we camped and some of us, we made new close friends. So, I was telling myself that I’m going to do the same thing next year.

The day when I didn’t get what I want

On many occasions in my life, I didn’t get what I want. Below are some of the big lost in my life (and some big found too). I hope you bare with me, since it’s going to be a bit long than usual and I hope that you can find these stories helpful.

Failed

The story line

Starting since when I was at my primary school, I was thinking joining school marching band was cool, maybe to play some instruments or do some cool tricks. I registered for it, I was selected, in flag team because I can’t play any musical instruments.

A thing called passion

My friend said a very interesting statement yesterday, “Although someone has interest on doing some kind of work, doesn’t necessarily means he is the right person to do it. Sometimes you need to go beyond normal, to give more than what you are required to do.”

The conversation was happened during our lunch time, and we were discussing about work (well sadly yeah, sometimes we discuss about work even during our lunch time).

Her statement made me think about some of my past experience, about going beyond things.

What is your style?

Lately, I’ve been into discussion with a friend about my blog. He recommended a blog to me to read the week before. The blog is written by Singaporean girl which is mainly describing her daily activities. Her language is light and simple; some of the story are funny and some are quite provoking but it describes her personality; the bottom line is the blog is fun to follow.

On the other hand, he told me that in general, my blog is a little bit to follow because I used some difficult terms inside my post. He needs to look up on certain words so that he can understand what I’m trying to say. Later on that day, his opinion re-surfaced into my mind. Well, I have a habit to think on several things at once, especially when I was nervous (related to my last post).

Later on, we discussed about others blogs too, that this person has this style and that person with that style. He asked me, what is my style then?

A thing called compromise

Do you feel your stomach churn before your exam? Or before you have your big gig? Well, I do.

Thanks to a friend of mine; talking to him yesterday made me re-think the whole big picture, or should I say, my big picture.

Let’s go back to the nerveousness, most of the time before I had school presentation, exams, or meeting clients, or even teaching, I was nervous.
(some of my friends don’t believe it when I said so)
