My “you’ll thank me later” moment

It’s almost 2 weeks ago since I started a new habit to wake up earlier and allocate some time to do some drills in the morning before taking shower.

I have no issue waking up in the morning (most of the days) but there are times when I just want to play my game longer in the evening before going to bed. And I find it hard to wake up in the morning.

So, there are times when I dragged myself out of bed, with my brain pulling up all sort of cards to keep myself in bed, to fulfil the plan.

As a result, I feel accomplished throughout my day because of the completing the small self-bestowed mission.

The brain likes to pull this card before my exercise time. But brain also likes the refreshed feeling after exercising. Difficult to please eh..

Anyway, thanks to not listening to brain by pushing through the original plan, brain is actually benefited from this.

This reminds me that sometime ago I always have pain on my left knee when I run more than 10km. I was inspired to be able to run full marathon and I was thinking if I should change my dream because my left leg won’t be able to take it.

But I went ahead to run my first HM and sore for the whole week.

Long story short, I still run as per today.

What I learned from this is, there will be times when we doubt ourselves. When we faced our first road block, when we failed for the first time, when everything seems to tough or something didn’t turn out as what we want it to be. But! Keep going. Take a rest if you feel you need to, take smaller steps. Just keep going..

And “you’ll thank me later” moment will follow 🙂

Happy weekend!
