Latest obsession

In my last post I mentioned that I had a drama marathon recently. Actually I’m still having it till now. To be more precise I’m watching it because of one actor (who is it?).

It was all started because of 1 song, 逢いたくて今 (Aitakute Ima) by 대성 (Daesung) from 빅뱅(BIGBANG) member (MV). Yes, he’s a member of a Korea boyband but he’s having a Japan solo activities at this moment. And, it wasn’t his original song, but it was a cover, from MISIA (the original singer). It is a very touching song.

When I tried to find the MISIA’s MV in YouTube, I found out that this song was a OST of a drama, JIN-仁- and this drama (and it’s sequel) won lots of awards during that time. I did my search before having my holiday. I was thinking was it that really good? Anyway, I’ll take my time to find it out.

JIN-仁- main leads are 大沢たかお (Osawa Takao) and 綾瀬はるか (Ayase Haruka). I have heard Ayase Haruka before, but I didn’t realize that actually I had watched Osawa Takao in different drama/movie, like Goemon or Galileo 2 eps 1 (I started to feel that his face is somewhat familiar when I watch Galileo 2).

(A little surprise..!) On my flight back to my hometown I found Osawa Takao recent movie in flight entertainment. 藁の縦 (Straw of Shield) and ストロベリー.ナイト (Strawberry Night). Aha! (運命か?笑!)

Actually, I hardly watch Japanese drama lately because I don’t find actor that I like act that often anymore and there were too many young ones that I don’t know anymore. (Ha!)

Then, I watched JIN-仁- both seasons during my holiday. Despite I have another DVD 龍馬伝 (Ryouma den) about Sakamoto Ryouma, that I plan to watch as my holiday drama. Interestingly, Ryouma-san also appears as one of the character in JIN-仁-.

This drama is really good, indeed. And after watching it, I feel more emotion when I listen to the song. I’d highly recommend you to watch JIN-仁- if you haven’t watched it. The drama taught me few important history events for example how Satsuma and Chousu alliance happened. (I’m pretty sure I’ll find it more when I watched Ryouma den again)

Another point that I like about the drama is the interaction between the main male lead and the female lead. I was thinking why was it so hard for them to be together, and to some extents I was telling myself “just say it” or “just hug her”. (Which obviously not happened :p) Well I guess maybe because the setting is in Japan old days. So they don’t really display the affection in public. Nevertheless, they still manage to convey the emotion (very intense).

As a result of JIN-仁- marathon and his cute smiling face, Takao Osawa gets my attention. Right now I’m watching his old drama 續。星の金貨 (Heaven’s Coin 2) with 竹野内ゆたか (Takenouchi Yutaka) and 酒井のりこ (Sakai Noriko). (I just finished 星の金貨 (Heaven’s Coin)) These dramas are another heart breaking drama.

I have ICHI (he’s acting with Ayase Haruka again) awaiting for me after this and 世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ (Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World). (大沢ーさん、どうして?あなたのチャラは誰かが幸せになるの事は難しそうですか?悲し過ぎるよ。。T_T)

Now you know the answer to the mystery actor I mentioned earlier?  So, I think for the time being I’ll hunt his movies :p

Although I’m aware it’s just a drama/movie, but I can’t help that my emotion is being stirred or pulled into the story. Oh well, maybe for once in a while it’s good for me to balance out my logic brain.

PS: What happened to the Ryouma den DVD? I need to find out different ways to watch it, my laptop is unable to display the subtitle in correct position and I don’t have DVD player like in my hometown.

PPS: And Takao-san, I hope to see you more in happy ending movie/drama. :p
