Learning guitar

Start doing something, or else be content with your status quo

I just recently started my guitar class. And as a guitar novice, I have to go through all the hardships of learning guitar, i.e. pain at my finger tips, inflexibility of my wrists, stress to get the right tempo, etc.

I’m not musical genius nor have musical experience before. What drives me to learn guitar is, I want to relax myself when I’m stress by playing guitar. (or so I thought, people who can play guitar can relax themselves by playing their favorite song, or look cool)

Anyway.. I had a thought while I was in the class: I can’t do it, my fingers are too short. And the teacher shared a video in the class, an armless man playing guitar with his feet. He’s saying that can’t you imagine that toes are shorter than fingers.

After we moved on to a new section, I have another thought, it’s hard for me.. My fingers are too fat to press correctly at the right string. And, the teacher showed a video a big build guy playing a ukulele.

It seems he can read my mind hey.. But I guess, his experience made him able to see us through.

So, as famous shoe brand said, “Impossible is nothing”. I told myself, stop finding excuses, practice more diligent, and be patient, don’t get frustrated easily.
