How well you know your friend?

(this conversation happened last night over the dinner between A and B who used to live together and C is A’s partner)

A: What did you do on new year eve until made you lack of sleep?
B: Yeah.. I slept at 3 in the morning, I tried to finish assemble my model
C: What?
A: What happened to you? Why you suddenly changed much since the time you lived with us?
C: No.. please be the B that we know

Familiar with the conversation situation?

Sometimes we feel that when our friend do something different from how we know, we will object that. But the real question is how well you know your friend?

I was in the conversation and I was B. I replied that I’m recyling my hobbies, back to my old days hobbies like robot modelling, reading mangas, listening to boy bands, etc. And I feel totally good with it.

I know that to some of my friends, getting older means you can’t do certain stuffs. You need to behave like your age. Another question to ask is, how to define the behaviour of your age?

Have you heard of “There will be time for everything”? I believe that strongly.

In Asia countries, most people think that by 30s you should start to establish a family because you are a mature adult. You need to let go some of the things you (like your dream) like for a better future. It may not be applicable to all Asia countries though, at least that how I observe and interpret my surroundings.

Those questions above are new year questions from me to ponder. And lastly, how often do you feel “pressurized” by the society because you see things differently?
