Too much of good thing is not good

Why too much of good thing is not good for us? I’m curious about the statement after watching a movie last weekend. One of the character inside the movie said that. The movie I watched was “The Karate Kid” or “The Kung Fu Kid” (the title in China).

I’ll keep my post short this time, to take it as reflection.

Sometimes we work too hard when we wanted something badly. Let’s say we want to score well in our exam. We study hard every day. We fill our head with all the exam material, revise and practice. I’m not a scientist who know well how our brain works but I believe that the information can be too much too handle. Imagine our brain is a jar, we keep pouring it with water. Eventually, there is a time when the jar is full then the water will spill over.

Then what should we do?

First, we should do everything smartly, make a plan. It can be set a schedule to study, or study with friends, and put some entertainment in between for refreshment. But most of the time, what happened is we entertained ourselves too much and neglected our main goal, which also means too much of something.

So secondly, we should keep our balance. Not going too left yet not going too right, if you got what I mean. 🙂

Let’s try to keep our life balance.

As an American, I can say that I see examples of this all around me on a daily basis. The idea that too much of anything can be bad is more foreign than the chinese they spoke in that movie. Your insight is keen. The jar analogy is spot on. Keep blogging. I like what you write.
